Point is as long as people like that are allowed on the wiki it will fail, and thas the whole point of a wiki so its auto fail. The idiots out there far out number the admins. Anyways if your good and keep up witth the meta you don't even need PvX because you will know whats good and whats bad.

And, then, if they vote votes that are wrong, we remove them.

For farming: yesh.
For PvP: I did try the 'Great' builds when I was starting out and still getting to grips with the game, but over time I've come to prefer my own. More power to me this way too.

There are some builds that are so good that it would be retarded to use something inferior just to avoid using wiki. The Assacaster was one, back before DP had an energy increase (indeed, it still is very powerful, just not as good as it was). The Burning Arrow Ranger is another. The 55hp monk. The 330hp ritualist. The Heir to the Master. Also, the standard monk builds; RC, ZB, HB, SoD, WoH. Why NOT use them?

HAHA LETE ME CREATE A LITTLE, just a LITTLE CONTRAST HERE HEHE
I PVX wiki FTW:P
I mean why would I lose time. I get a monk build for ogden(cause it starts at lvl 20 and I dont need any other time leveling him) I get some ele build for zhed and vekk. I get to use my build as assassin cause there arent many assassin pve builds. My temple striker is cool in pve anyway. Dazing bosses are allways the best choice.

PVX WIKI FTW

NOTE: I can be considered as a lazy player. ım lazy at everything I paid lots of gold to compleate books:P

prty shure everyone runs WoH in GVG..

I use wiki builds.
I dont think anyone who uses the builds are noobs, because the real deciding factor for skill level is if you can play the bar worth a damn.

As for bitching about bad builds on there, MOST people can easily distinguish a bad bar from a good one.

Every build eventually ends up on wiki, it doesn't really matter whether you use one from there or create your own.

PvX is bad. I don't see how anyone can argue against that. Every build is either total shit thats worse than what a monkey could come up with or copied off obs. Not to mention alot of the obs ones aren't accurate.

And concerning the Vigorous paladin, wtf is the person you quoted talking about? PvX only has 4 or so builds with vigorous spirit in them at all, and almost all of them are farming builds.

Also, don't complain about the PvE sections(including AB, RA, and CM), because no one cares much about them, due to the whole not-needing-a-skillbar-or-attributes-to-beat-pve thing.

"prty shure" the post you quoted was pre-WoH buff, when it was pretty bad. Besides, those builds he mentioned got nuked apparently, couldn't find any trace of them. Good riddance.

Anyway, "prty shure" the majority of GW's playerbase don't know bad bars from good ones, hence why most PuGs suck.

As far as the quality of the builds there goes, Tab covered that nicely.

Obs stole our shattering assault bar, imo.

Some stuff from there needs to gtfo too, but for the most part, that category is pretty worthwhile.

I was pretty surprised yesterday trying out the "great" and "good" Elementalist PvP builds for RA that none of them were really efficient. I guess I met a few times interrupters and great monks, but it was more than 50+ fails for a few wins. And when I switched to a custom-made water build, suddenly things started to be a lot better.

I guess there's a lot of good things in it, but is it possible that the rapid evolution of PvP builds limits how applicable the ones on PvX are?

There's another possibility you aren't considering. That you're bad?

I've looked over the PvX builds. Many of them are fine and up to date. There's nothing wrong with copying builds. In fact, I'd say the attitude many in this thread have that being unique > being efficient is going to prevent them from ever being good at higher level PvP.

Sure, if you came up with a build that became the new meta, that would be pretty amazing. Chances are you're not going to though. There are hundreds of thousands of people playing this game, they try tons of combinations. The ones that survive on PvX are the ones that have shown they are more efficient than others. Not every skill combination is as good as the next, certain combos have more synergy, this is a fact. Get used to it.
